SIOSIC - protection for heavy-duty surfaces

SIOSIC is a highly resistant inorganic compound from silicon carbide. It is ideal for repairs and as an effective protection of surfaces exposed to extreme temperatures and strong acids (pH 0 - 14). It reliably withstands temperatures of up to 700 °C in wet operations and up to 900 °C in dry operations. It is suitable for use e.g. in fume ducts or chemical plants and in facilities where high abrasion and corrosion occurs.

Properties

An excellent abrasive stability ensures long operational life and usually outlasts welded plating. The calcium silicate hydrate structure resists thermal shock and impact. Outstanding adhesive strength ensures reliability and prevents debonding. Tolerates chemically varying operating conditions where metals fail. May easily be formed on any surface.
